The Board of Directors, Officers, and committee members of OCD Texas are comprised of a assembly of expert psychologists, therapists, and OCD community members who are dedicated to the missions of OCD Texas and the International OCD Foundation.

Melissa Fasteau, Psy.D.

Melissa Fasteau, PsyD is a Licensed Psychologist in private practice, specializing in the treatment of OCD, anxiety disorders, BFRBs, and depression for adolescents and adults. Dr. Fasteau earned her PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Yeshiva University and completed her postdoctoral training at McLean OCD Institute in Houston. She is currently serving as the President of OCD Texas.

Ivy Ruths, Ph.D.

Ivy Ruths, Ph.D. is a Licensed Psychologist and owner of Houston Anxiety and Wellness Center.  In her practice, Dr. Ruths specializes in OCD, Trichotillomania, and anxiety and depressive disorders in children, adolescents, and adults.  She is currently serving as Vice President of OCD Texas, and as Past-President of the Houston Psychological Association.

Andrea Alvarez, LPC-S

Andrea M. Alvarez, M.Ed., LPC-S, NCC is owner and Executive Director of AMA Behavioral Therapy, PLLC.

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from University of Houston and her graduate degree from UTPA and she has over 11 years licensure experience. She is a professional member of International OCD Foundation, BTTI graduate, and a member of of TLC Foundation. Andrea is currently serving as the Treasurer of OCD Texas.

Saharah Shrout, LPC

Saharah Shrout, MA, LPC-S is the owner of OATH Therapy and dedicated to providing quality treatment for those with OCD, anxiety and related disorders. Saharah received her BA in Psychology and Sociology and MA in Christian Counseling from Houston Baptist University. Saharah has treated OCD, OC-Spectrum Disorders and Anxiety Disorders since 2003. She was trained at The Menninger Clinic OCD Program and went on to become the Program Manager of the Houston OCD Program where she worked in outpatient, intensive outpatient and residential treatment settings. After serving many roles with OCD Texas, she currently serves as Secretary.

Ginny Fullerton, Ph.D.

Ginny Fullerton, Ph.D. is a Licensed Psychologist and Director of Capital OCD & Anxiety Practice in Austin, TX, specializing in treatment of OCD and anxiety at outpatient and intensive outpatient levels for children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Fullerton earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Houston in 2007 and gained specialty OCD experience at The Menninger Clinic OCD Program and the Houston OCD Program. She is a certified SPACE provider, clinical faculty at the University of Texas at Austin, and Education Director at OCD Texas.

Katy Rothfelder, LPC

Katy Rothfelder, LPC, RBT is a licensed mental health clinician at the Anxiety Treatment Center of Austin specializing in treating OCD and related disorders. She holds a special interest in serving the neurodivergent community. Katy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Southwestern University with a focus on interpersonal factors in disclosing and relating to mental illness, and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from St. Edward’s University. Katy currently serves as the Volunteer Chair with OCD Texas.. 

Mikayla Leech

Mikayla is a passionate advocate dedicated to supporting the OCD community. Since 2020, she has been at the forefront of managing social media for OCD Texas, tirelessly sharing valuable resources and fostering a sense of belonging. Beyond this role, she has also served as a past content creator for Not Alone Notes, spreading kindness and compassion to OCD sufferers.
